Rev. Roger Tinnel, moderator for the Logan-Mingo Baptist Association of the West Virginia Baptist Convention and pastor of the First Baptist Church of Williamson, has announced that the Logan-Mingo Association will host what is hoped to become an annual choir and congregation hymn sing for association churches.
"Christians need a time to gather and to share their faith," Tinnel said. "Singing is one of the ways that appeals to many people."
This year the association's "First Annual Sing" will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 28, in the First Baptist Church of Logan, 423 Main Street, Logan. Moderator Tinnel noted that the Logan First Baptist family have graciously invited Logan-Mingo Baptist association churches and all members various Christian denomination churches to join them in this "first time" association choir event.
