The Tigers improved to 4-0 after last week's 28-12 win at home over Poca. Chapmanville has 10.25 points behind No. 1 Grafton (4-0) with 11.25 points and No. 2 Keyser (3-0) with 10.33 points.
Chapmanville is tied for third with Cardinal Conference foe Wayne, last year's Class AA state runner-up, which is 4-0 heading into Friday night's action. Ravenswood (3-0) was fifth, while Philip Barbour (3-1) was sixth and Scott (3-1) and Shady Spring (3-1) were tied for seventh.
Braxton County (3-1) was ninth, while Liberty Raleigh (3-1), Tolsia (3-1) and Weir (3-1) were all tied for 10th place.
Frankfort (3-1) and Greenbrier West (3-1) were tied for 13th, while James Monroe (2-1), Wyoming East (2-1) and Webster County (3-1) were tied for 15th.
Cardinal Conference teams Point Pleasant (2-2) and Herbert Hoover (1-3) were in 20th and 21st place respectively. Another Cardinal team, Sissonville (1-3) was in the 22nd place tie with Independence, Ritchie County and Tyler Consolidated. The sixth and final Cardinal team, Poca (0-4) was tied for last in 28th place with winless teams Liberty Harrison, Lincoln, Mount View, Oak Hill, Petersburg, Roane County, Sherman, Summers County and Tug Valley.
In the Class A ratings, Man fell from 13th to 18th place after falling last week at St. Marys. The Billies are 2-2 with a 4.00 rating.
Williamstown (3-0) sits atop the Class A rankings with a 10.00 rating. Matewan (4-0) is second with a 9.00 rating. Pocahontas County (4-0) and St. Marys (4-0) are tied for third, while Mount Hope (4-0) is fifth. Big Creek (3-0) is sixth, Fayetteville (4-0) seventh, Wheeling Central (3-1) eighth, Wahama (4-0) ninth and Madonna (3-0) 10th.
Calhoun County (3-1) and Midland Trail (3-1) are tied for 11th, while Parkersburg Catholic (2-1) is 13th and Clay-Battelle (3-1), Wirt County (3-1) and Clarksburg Notre Dame (3-1) are tied for 14th. Gilbert (2-2) is tied for 19th with Iaeger (2-2) and Meadow Bridge (2-2).
In the Triple-A computer ratings, Logan (2-1) fell to 20th. Wheeling Park is first in Class AAA with a 4-0 record and 14.00 ratings. South Charleston (4-0) is second place with a 13.75 rating, while University (4-0) is third with a 12.75 rating. Spring Valley (3-0) is fourth, Bridgeport (4-0) fifth, Hurricane (3-0) sixth and Cabell Midland (3-1) and Morgantown (3-1) were tied for seventh. Capital (3-1) and George Washington (3-1) are tied for ninth, Fairmont (3-1) 11th, Beckley (3-1) 12th and Brooke (3-1) 13th.
Preston (2-1) was 14th, Nicholas County (3-1) 15th and Princeton (2-1) 16th.
The top 16 teams from each class qualify for the playoffs, which are scheduled to begin Nov. 14 across the state. The top eight teams receive home games.
