The Golden Reunion Committee of the 1958 Graduation Class of Logan High School is planning a 50th Reunion Celebration for the occasion of them being the first class to graduate from the "new" Logan High School located on Wildcat Way, Midelburg Island, and for the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the facility.

The celebration is to be held at the school Friday, October 3, and Saturday, October 4. Plans for the reunion have been ongoing since the Fiftieth Reunion Celebration of the 1957 Graduation Class held at the Chief Logan Conference Center in July 2007. The Class of 1957 was the last class to graduate from the "old" high school facility located on Stratton Street in the East End of Logan.

Festivities will begin on Friday evening in the cafeteria where attendees will gather for registration and to feast on a menu from the era featuring hot dogs, hamburgers and "moon pies" for dessert. The entertainment for the evening will feature a 50s style sock hop with music from the era provided in a 50s style soda fountain with jukebox.

Local dignitaries participating in the celebration will include Wilma Zigmond, Logan County Superintendent of Schools; Robert Lucas, principal of Logan High School, and Serafino Noletti, mayor of the City of Logan. The Logan High School Band will perform in the football stadium on Saturday evening, and current members of the student body will provide tours of the school each evening of the event.

Saturday's program will include a Memorial Service, group pictures, dinner and dance.
