Gas prices finally fall in Logan County

ARACOMA - Gasoline prices in Logan County finally fell, several days after the price of a gallon of regular fell across the state.

On Saturday, gas prices in Morgantown and Bridgeport were at $3.59 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline. In Logan County, however, gas prices still hovered around $3.99 a gallon.

In Charleston on Monday evening, gas at the Super Stop on U.S. Route 119 at the Lincoln/Kanawha County border was at $3.79 for a gallon of regular unleaded. At the Dudley Farms Speedway in South Charleston, regular unleaded was $3.83 a gallon.

Monday morning, in Chapmanville, where gas had been $3.69 a gallon while others throughout Logan County were at $3.89, the price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was still $3.99.

Finally, Tuesday afternoon, gas prices fell to $3.83 at several stations, including the Speedway in Aracoma.

This morning, the price of a gallon of gas at the Little General Exxon station on Airport Road in Chapmanville was at $3.85. Gas at the Speedway in Pikeville, Ky., on Friday was at $3.75 for a gallon of regular unleaded. In Danville, this morning, gas was $3.83.
