Honoring the first class of the 'new' Logan High

The City of Logan has proclaimed today and Saturday, October 3-4, 2008, as the "Logan High School Class of 1958 Days." The proclamation, which was signed by Logan Mayor Serafino Nolletti on Thursday, October 2 reads: "The City of Logan hereby proclaims the date of October 3rd and 4th to be declared Logan High School Class of 1958 Days in honor of the First Graduating Class of Logan High School. The City of Logan recognizes the historical significance of this group and the impact of the new Logan High School has had on the residents, students and the City of Logan. I hereby proclaim this date to be "Logan High School Class of 1958 Days." Those present for the signing, in no particular order, were Loletta Evans, Donetta Messer Walls, Marjorie Ferrell Muncey, Raymond Muncey, Edna Ruth Farley Mitchem, Johnny Yacomino, Kenneth Singleton, Emma Lou McArthur, Charles Kinney, Bob Ellis, Jack Baisden and Mayor Nolletti. The City of Logan Street Department also hung banners throughout town recently welcoming the class to the city. The reunion celebration is being held this weekend.
