Reports Monday morning said that Albert Steven Dalton, 38, of Chapmanville, was killed early Sunday evening on a rural section of Crawley Creek Road.
Chapmanville Police Officer D.T. Bryant said the accident happened between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
"I believe he went over an embankment," Bryant said.
Officers from the Chapmanville Police Department investigated the crash.
Additional details about the crash were unavailable at press time Monday morning.
Bryant said the crash is still under investigation by the Chapmanville Police Department.
Dalton's funeral arrangements are being handled by Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville. Arrangements were incomplete as of Monday morning.
