CHAPMANVILLE, WV - Mr. Elmer E. "Moe" Ferguson, 56, of Rocky Branch of Chapmanville, was born August 30, 1952, at Godby, a son of the late Walter and Dessie Smith Ferguson. He departed this life Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Ferguson was an electrician and line foreman for Williams Electric in Rush, Ky., of the Jesus Faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He liked to deer hunt and camp in his Winnebago and do home improvements.
Also preceding him in death was his son, John W. Ferguson, on April 1, 2000; two sisters, Pauline Curry and Naomi Dingess; one brother, Bobby Ferguson, and his special friend, Junior Workman.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Regina Stollings Ferguson; one son, Jeremy E. Ferguson, at home; two daughters, Cathy Stollings, at home, and Carolyn Stowers of Big Creek; one grandson, Jason Stowers; one brother, James (June) Ferguson of Delbarton, and four sisters, Evangelist Gay (Truby) Hunter of City View of Logan, Mary Bridges of Augusta, Ga., Joyce (Freddie) Conley of Shively and Linda (Billy) McClellan of Henlawson.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with family members conducting the services. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Military Graveside Rites.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
