The Lady Bulldogs won the first set 25-13 and then fell to Tug 25-21 in the second game.
Burch rallied to win the third set, 25-20.
In the final set, Shalea Ellis started off the scoring for the Lady Bulldogs with an ace on the first serve.
Burch built a 10-3 lead, but the Lady Panthers rallied to make it a tie game at 15-15 on an Elizabeth Endicott spike.
The Lady Bulldogs won, 25-22, on a Shawnee Branham ace.
"Our serving wasn't the best in those last games," Burch Coach Jan Cisco said. "I thought we served well in the first set, but then we were off the rest of the match. We're going to have to get back into the gym and practice and try to get ready for the upcoming sectional tournament."
Vonda Preston, the coach of the Lady Panthers, said her girls played well.
"We played good," Preston said. "We're playing better each game. We're young and learning to play together as a team."
Burch returns to action Thursday night at home. Tug will hold its senior night festivities as it hosts Matewan Thursday night.
