Whatever happened to the "good ol days" when politicians told the truth, considered the opposition to be honorable, and did not tell lies that would cause an ordinary man or women to slither off in the grass if they had told them.
It seems that mudslinging, skirting the truth and dirty tricks is the norm nowadays.
I am sick of it and I will not be able to simply hold my nose and vote for the lesser of two evils this year. I don't think either presidential candidate is worthy of my support.
Our economic situation not a new situation. Just like the energy crisis is has been coming to a head for years. The congress and our citizens all are to blame, but more so congress, because they have had the ability to do something about both for years but has opted not to do so. I am not smart enough to figure out why, but I suspect it is a money issue.
I hope, a pipe dream to be sure, that all incumbents in Congress and Senate get defeated in this election. I don't trust any of them.
The U.S. is a paradox, it is the greatest country in the world to live in, but has stupid problems that we keep making worse for our children.
Our children may squeeze out a living, but later generations don't have a chance for meaningful survival.
