MAN - With three games left in the 2008 high school football season and a playoff berth on the line every Friday night will be big for the Man Hillbillies.
The next biggest game of the season comes this Friday night as No. 14-ranked Man (4-3) is scheduled to play at Class AA No. 6-ranked Wyoming East (5-2).
A win over the Warriors could help solidify Man's first Class A playoff berth in three years.
Man is coming off a 35-12 win at Single-A rival Gilbert last week.
Wyoming East was upset 23-20 by Wyoming County rival Westside last Friday night.
The Billies were hoping to climb a few spots in the new SSAC Computer Ratings but most football pundits expect Man will stay 14th when the new rankings are slated to come out today.
Wyoming East is projected to fall from sixth to 10th in this week's Class AA rankings.
Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday night at the Wyoming East High School football field at New Richmond.
Man lost to East 26-6 last season.
Man coach Harvey Arms said Friday's Wyoming East game is another pivotal contest for the Billies. Man is scheduled to close out the season Oct. 31 at home against Buffalo and Nov. 7 at home against Iaeger. The playoffs are set to begin Nov. 14 across the state.
"We have to go out and be aggressive and competitive in the last three games," Arms said. "As always, we have to keep mistakes to a minimum
