HUNTINGTON - A Logan County man was killed yesterday evening in an automobile crash in Cabell County.
James Miller, 76, of Pecks Mill, was killed when he reportedly pulled his car into the path of an oncoming Jan-Care ambulance at the West Virginia Route 10 and Alternate Route 10 intersection near Green Valley in Cabell County.
The reports said the Jan-Care ambulance crashed into the driver's side of Miller's 2009 Toyota Camry and that Miller was trapped in the car and died at the scene.
Miller's wife, 72-year-old, Mona Miller, was a passenger in the vehicle. She was reportedly transported to St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington.
The crash was investigated by the Cabell County Sheriff's Department. A call was made by The Logan Banner to Chief Deputy Jim Scheidler, but he was unavailable for comment this morning.
Mona Miller's condition was not known this morning.
James Miller's funeral arrangements at Evans Funeral Home of Chapmanville were incomplete as of press time this morning.
