Dallas is the son of the late Harlen and Mamie Nichols and Dorislene is the daughter of the late Berthol and Flora Maynard. Dallas is a retired dozer operator and Dorislene a homemaker. They both love spending time with family.
Over the years they have had nine wonderful children, Troy (Rose) Nichols and Dallas (Sherri) Nichols, both of Rita, Rhoda (Mark) Brown of Mallory, Vernon (Carolyn) Nichols, Kathern (Darrell) Mullins, Donna (Gerald) Wells, Rosemary (Rush) Adkins and Renna (Ray) Baisden, all of Lyburn and the late Drema Gail Nichols.
They also have 26 grandchildren: Angela and Dallas Troy Nichols, Mamie (Bryan) Lambert, Angel Owsley, Jackie (James) Barker, Tildon Blair, James Tiller, Katrina Brown, Brandi (Eric) Allen, Erica (Michael) Adkins, Bobby Laws, Justin Mullins, Doris Barnett, Ronnie and Eldon Wells, Crystal Evans, Rush Jr., Benny and Brian Adkins, Amy, Junior and Bradley Johnson, Rebecca (Eric) Evans, Amanda and Micheal Baisden and the late Charles Adkins, and 22 great-grandchildren, Amber and Christopher Richards, Sheila Hicks, Jamie Nichols, Stephanie and Kacie Nichols, Kristen Goodman, Hailey Owsley, Austin Barker, Dylan Blair, Kayleigh Brown, Eric Allen, Dalton and Jacklynn Barnett, Joshua and Summer Evans, Kaden Wells, Caleb and Brooke Adkins, Alyssa Johnson, Eric Evans and the late Jermia Barnett.
The couple will welcome two additional great-grandchildren due in January and February of 2009.
