BREEDEN, WV - Brittany Jo Marcum, the stillborn infant daughter of B.J. and Redith "Tiny" Dempsey Marcum of Breeden, went to her new home in Heaven Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Ky.
Preceding her in death were her maternal great-grandparents, Henry and Rita Sizemore and Claude Dempsey, and paternal great-grandparents, Freeman and Virginia Adkins.
In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory include one sister, Tiffany Marcum of Breeden; maternal grandparents, Bill and Kathy Dempsey of Duncan Fork; paternal grandparents, Jeffrey Marcum and Meloney (Jeff) Marcum, all of Breeden; maternal great-grandmother, Edna Dempsey of Duncan Fork; paternal great-grandparents, Tom and Geraldine Marcum of Breeden; maternal aunts and uncles, Billy Ray Dempsey, Bonnie Dempsey, and John and Teresita Dempsey, all of Duncan Fork, and paternal aunts and uncles, Jennifer Marcum, Joseph and Marie Marcum, Jason Marcum, Crystal and Brent Newsome, John and Sharon Lowe, Austin Marcum, Aaron Marcum, Fannie Adkins and Marsha and Denver Messer all of Breeden, Brandon Marcum and Freeman and Tina Adkins, all of South Gate, Mich., and Melissa and Johnny Collins of Louisa, Ky.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at the Dingess House of Prayer with Ministers Basil Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at the Messer Adkins Cemetery at Breeden.
Pallbearers will be her uncles, Jason, Brandon and Joseph Marcum.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy and John Dempsey.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
