Chapmanville has a huge game on Friday night at home as Cardinal Conference rival and No. 4-ranked Wayne (7-1) comes to Tiger Stadium.
Keyser (8-0) is ranked first in the state in Class AA with 13.63 points.
Grafton (8-0) is second with 13.00 points. Chapmanville is third with 11.88 points. Wayne is fourth with 10.63 points.
Ravenswood (7-1), which plays at 3A Logan on Friday night, is ranked fifth.
Webster County (8-1) is sixth, Weir (6-2) seventh, James Monroe (6-2) eighth, Scott (5-3) ninth and Bluefield (5-3) 10th.
Point Pleasant (5-3), which beat Wayne earlier in the season in Cardinal Conference action and hosts Chapmanville on Nov. 7 in the regular season finale, is rated 11th.
Independence (6-3) is 12th, Magnolia (5-3) 13th, Wyoming East (5-3) 14th, Greenbrier West (5-3) 15th and Shady Spring (5-4) 16th.
The top 16 teams in each class qualify for the playoffs which are scheduled to begin Nov. 14 across the state.
If the season ended today, Chapmanville would host Wyoming East in an all-southern West Virginia first-round playoff game. Wayne, last year's state runner-up and the 2006 Class AA state champion, would host Greenbrier West.
In Class A, Man is tied for ninth in this week's ratings with Calhoun County. Calhoun is 6-2, while the Billies are 5-3.
Williamstown (7-1) is first with 10.63 points. Pocahontas County (9-0) and Wheeling Central (7-2) are second for second place with 10.22 points.
Matewan (7-0) is fourth, Fayetteville (8-1) fifth, Madonna (8-0) sixth, St. Marys (7-1) seventh and Mount Hope (7-1) eighth. Big Creek (6-1) is 11th, Tucker County (6-2) and Wahama (6-2) are tied for 12th, Clay-Battelle (7-2) is 14th and Moorefield (5-3) and Parkersburg Catholic (5-3) are tied for 15th.
If the season ended today, Man or Calhoun County would travel to No. 8 Mount Hope for a first-round playoff game. The Billies rose from 14th to ninth in this week's ratings after beating Class AA No. 10-ranked Wyoming East, 15-0, last week. Matewan would host Wahama or Tucker County in a first-round playoff game.
In Class AAA, Logan (3-5) is 28th after falling 28-7 at Lincoln County last Friday night. Lincoln County (4-5) has improved to 21st.
South Charleston (9-0) is ranked first in Class AAA with 16.33 points. University (9-0) is second with a 14.00 rating. George Washington (8-1) is third, Wheeling Park (7-1) is fourth, Capital (8-1) is fifth, Morgantown (8-1) is sixth, Bridgeport (7-1) is seventh, Cabell Midland (7-2) is eighth, Hurricane (6-2) is ninth and Martinsburg (6-2) is 10th.
Nicholas County (8-1) is 11th, Parkersburg South (6-2) 12th and Spring Valley (5-3) and Beckley Woodrow Wilson (5-3) are tied for 13th. Musselman (6-3) is 15th and Fairmont (5-3) is ranked 16th.
