Wayne Edward Toney, 24, of Big Ugly Road of Harts, was killed around 2:30 p.m. Monday when he and the motorcycle on which he was riding was struck head-on by an oncoming vehicle.
Reportedly, the oncoming vehicle was passing another vehicle when it collided with Toney's motorcycle.
It was not known if the driver of the car was injured in the crash.
West Virginia State Police Trooper J.E. Williams investigated the crash, but was not available for comment Tuesday morning before deadline.
James Craft with the West Virginia State Police detachment in Logan confirmed this morning that the crash was a head-on collision.
Reportedly, traffic was blocked for more than an hour due to the crash.
