This year marks the 20th-annual event at Logan.
The Toughman is set to take place on Friday and Saturday nights at the Logan fieldhouse.
Bell times are 8 p.m. each night.
The Toughman contest, which is one of Logan's largest indoor events, is enjoyed by thousands of fans each year.
The Toughman is a single elimination boxing tournament, open to area men and women, age 18 or older, with no pro fights and limited amateur experience. All bouts are scheduled for three, one-minute rounds, with all fighters wearing 16-ounce gloves, protective headgear and a mouth piece.
A total of 20 area men have signed up for the heavyweight division (185 to 400 pounds), including Man's Carl Goff (6-4, 280), who competed last spring in the Toughman World Championships in Tunica, Miss.
Goff was the champion in the Coal Area heavyweight division in 2007.
Goff competed in the worlds with Verdunville's Jordan Moore. Moore won the light heavyweight championship the last two years at Logan but is not eligible to box again this year because of the Toughman two title limit rule.

Adkins had been the runner-up four times in the light heavyweight division. Last year, the Harts native lost to Moore in the championship bout.
Thirteen men have signed up to compete in the middleweight division (140-159 pounds), including: John Barnhouse of Clendenin; Simon Henry of Madison; Kenneth Jackson of Mallory; Brandon Morris of Elkview; Trey Taylor of Logan; Jordan Toney of Hamlin; Troy White of Charleston; Eric Wood of Sophia; Jordon Keeton of Huntington; Keith Hampton of Chapmanville; Joey Steele of Fort Gay; Chad Hensley of Chapmanville; and Evan Adkins of Danville.

The event is being sponsored again by Mike Ferrell Toyota-Scion, Suddenlink media, 96.1 The Wolfe and Network West Virginia.
Up to $8,000 in prize money will be awarded. The champion in each of the men's divisions will receive $1,000 and the runners-up will each receive $280. Prize money for the women's divisions will be based on the average number of bouts and paid in proportion to the men's divisions.
Each champion will also be awarded a Toughman jacket.
Champions qualify to advance to the Toughman World Championships where they will compete for up to $50,000. Miss Ring Girl will receive $1,000 in cash, a Toughman jacket and various other prizes. First, second, and third runners-up to Miss Ring Girl will receive $200 each, plus additional prizes.
