Kimberly D. Vance, 36, of Man, was arrested by Sgt. D.W. Walls of the Man Police Department on Nov. 10 for attempted uttering and obtaining goods under false pretenses.
According to police reports, Vance allegedly entered Speedway on Main Street and asked for a $300 moneygram money order.
"The accused grabbed the money order off of the check out counter and told the cashier she would be right back," the report states.
"The accused placed the money order in her pocket and left the premises. The accused then left and attempted to cash the money order at the 7-11 on Bridge Street. The manager from Speedway contacted me and advised me of the situation. A description of the accused's vehicle was given as well as the license plate. While patrolling, looking for the accused's vehicle, I made a traffic stop on the vehicle, a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero. The accused was read her rights and gave a written confession and also gave the $300 money order signed by herself to myself."
She was released on bond.
April M. Dillon, 29, of Logan, was arrested by officers Robert Thompson and R. Adkins of the Logan Police Department for credit card fraud and computer fraud on Oct. 27. According to police reports, on Oct. 10, the officers received a complaint from PRIDE Inc. about an employee who was let go in August.
"But before termination she was issued a credit card for fuel for the bus she drove," the report states. "She never gave back the credit card. Upon getting monthly fuel invoices, it was found that there were several purchases between Sept. 7, 2008 to Oct. 8, 2008 made on this credit card that was assigned to the said above in the amount of $424.54. Upon further investigation, the said above was caught on camera in West Logan Speedway making a transaction. Also there were some transactions at the gas pump."
She was released on bond.
