VERNER, WV - Freddie Paul Hatfield, Jr., 35, of Spice Creek section of Verner, departed this life Thursday, November 20, 2008, at his residence.

Born May 7, 1973, at Man, he was a beloved son of Freddie Sr. and Margaret Lester Hatfield of Spice Creek.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Onnie and Maggie Hatfield, and his maternal grandparents, Auldie and Angie Lester.

Freddie was a loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved hunting, 4-wheeling, and being outdoors. He was a heavy equipment operator and of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Freddie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Additionally, those left to love and cherish his memory include his precious son, Zachary Hatfield of Hanover; his favorite special niece, Angie Cline of North Spring; his sister, Kimberly (Greg) Cline of North Spring; his brother, Mark (Jessica) Hatfield of Verdunville, and a host of other dear family and friends.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, at the Christian Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Johnson, Rev. Roger Browning and the Rev. Jackie Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow in the Skyline Cemetery at Justice.

Pallbearers will be Randy Bobbitt, Corey Robinette, Jimmy Lester, Frank "Salzer" Lester, Chad Roberts, Phillip Browning, Dustin Bobbitt and Mike Lester.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Walls, Bobby Lester, Roger Hatfield, Frank Combs, Kenny Roberts and John Belcher.

Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert is in charge of the arrangements.
