CHAPMANVILLE, WV - Mr. Johnny Lee Sperry, 45, of Chapmanville, husband of Belinda Kay Sperry, departed this life Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Born July 31, 1963, in Madison, he was a son of Dewey Albert and Gladys Darnell Workman Sperry Jr. of Ed Stone Branch.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Carol Sue Sperry.
Johnny loved his family, enjoyed four-wheeling with his wife and grandchildren, and liked to hunt. He was the owner of A&S Contracting.
Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Brittany (Michael) Workman of Dog Fork; son, Jeremy (Amanda) Sperry of Harts; sister Patt (Bo) Adams of North Fork; eight brothers, Frankie (Becky) Sperry of Garretts Fork, David (Kim) Sperry of North Fork, Howard (Vicky) Sperry of Grundy, Va., Larry (Jamie) Sperry of Branchland, Phillip (Bonnie) Sperry of Harts, Joe (Marlena) Sperry of Jeffery, and Clifford Sperry and Josh (Robin) Sperry, both of Ed Stone Branch; four grandchildren, Desiree, Summer, Keira and Gage; a special niece, Angie Adams; special nephews, Boyd Jr. and Matt Adams; father and mother-in-law, James and Hattie Adams of North Fork; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brady (Beth), Bonnie (Marlin), Brenda (Daniel), Albert (Tammy), James (Tina), and Larry (Ellen), and a host of other nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.
Services were held Sunday, November 30, at the Freeman Funeral Home with Minister John Stafford officiating. Burial followed at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers were Matthew Adams, Boyd Adams, Jr., Steven Sperry, Michael Workman, Daniel Bates, and Derek Sperry.
Honorary pallbearers were Clifford, Josh, Howard, Frankie, Joe, Larry, Phillip and David Sperry.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville was in charge of the arrangements.
