Congratulations to Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., the winner of "America's Got Talent."

Landau is a shining example of the American Dream.

Landau started out as a car washer with a dream and he saw that dream come true last night as America voted him their favorite from all the worthy contestants in the TV reality talent show.

It was an exciting moment for fans of Logan’s talented singer/car washer and people cheered him on from all across the country.

Landau made it all the way to the top out of 100,000 competitors.

That’s an amazing feat, especially with all the talented contestants who competed for the $1 million prize and Caesar’s Palace show in Las Vegas.

We are so proud of Landau. He has shown the world just how great his talent truly is and he has represented Logan County and all of West Virginia so well.

Life will now change for Landau and we'll see a lot less of him here in Logan County. But, we can always fly up to Las Vegas and see his show or watch him on TV.

Landau will now be busy with interviews and appearances on TV talk shows and then on to the stage in Las Vegas, but he will always be Logan County's crooner extraordinaire.

Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., is indeed "Mr. Extraordinaire" a genuine crooner who in my honest opinion fits right up there with his hero, "Mr Frank Sinatra" who I'm sure was looking from the Heaven above and smiling down on Landau. I love Frank Sinatra's music and own so much of it but I can't wait to own Landau Eugene Murphy Jr's music as well. America sure did get it right!!!! I'm proud of him too even though I'm not from Logan, W.A. Landau nothing but the best of luck for you always as I knew from 6/22/2011 that Wednesday, who our winner was going to be. "The next winner" as I jumped up from my seat to salute YOU is what I yelled and to say I'm well satisfied is most definitely an understatement. I'm beaming with pure

satisfaction. Landau, God will be with you every step of the way and don't change a thing about you, stay grounded but plase do not alter that wonderful smile.

I'm proud of Laundau and also to the citizens of Logan,WV...I could tell you support this winner wholeheartedly my best to you from California I really enjoyed your talented man. May God bless his journey to stardom. Stay humble my friend, and don't forget to look up to the Son who gave you that talent. I'm hoping that your Mayor will name a street or a boulevard after him or even change Logan to Landau, West Virginia it sounds better. Just a suggestion! I'm going to Las Vegas to see him.
