CHAPMANVILLE, WV - Mr. Terry Lendal Shadd Sr., 59, of Chapmanville, was born July 12, 1949, at Holden, a son of the late Lando and Vonnie Butcher Shadd. He departed this life Friday, December 5, 2008, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Also preceding him in death was a brother, Billy Ray Shadd.
Mr. Shadd was a retired and disabled coal miner, having worked for Island Creek Coal Company and Pittston Coal Company, a member of the UMWA Local 1971 and attended the Church of God at Chapmanville.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Lynn Ware Shadd; one son, Terry Lando (Chaddie) Shadd Jr. of Chapmanville; one daughter, Miranda Dawn Shadd, at home; two sisters, Peggy (Charley) Adams of Columbia Station, Ohio, and Betty Benko of Medina, Ohio; one half-sister, Barbara (Homer) Conley of Chapmanville; his granddaughter, Brittany Michelle Belcher, and two step-children, Ronnie Mullins Jr. and Vernon Mullins, both of Chapmanville.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Rev. Alfred Setser and Rev. James M. Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
