HOLDEN, WV - John Isaac Hawkins, 19, of Holden, departed this life to be with the Lord after a long illness Friday, December 12, 2008, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born August 26, 1989, in Logan, he was a son of Vanessa (David) Bartram of Holden and Michael Hawkins of Man.
John was a member of the Church of the Living God at Stollings.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Emanuel Hawkins and Frank Bartram; his grandparents, Vonnie and Newcome Bryant and Net "Maw" Bartram, and one uncle Scottie Bryant.
Additional survivors include one brother, Jeremiah Hawkins of Holden; step-brothers, Shawn Ball, Chris Bartram of Lenore, Brian Baisden of Mud Fork and Noah Hawkins of Whitman; one step-sister, Shanda Copley of Holden; his grandparents, Phyllis Fields of Lenore and Donna and Vernon Hawkins of Godby Heights; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; two very dear friends, Zach Donahoe and Tiffany Workman, and his aide, Debbie Harrison.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, December 15, at the Church of the Living God at Stollings with Pastor Jerry Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant Cemetery at Brown's Run.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Donahoe and Travis Adkins.
John was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
