On Saturday, the Logan, Chapmanville Regional and Burch High School cheerleaders all competed for state championships in their respective classes and, although they didn't bring home the gold, we are still so very proud of each and every cheerleader. You all represented your counties well and have nothing to hang your heads over.

It's a big feat to make it to state. There are so many good cheer squads at the different schools throughout the region and it's a great accomplishment to make it to the state competition.

All three local teams performed their routines and put on a good show for the large crowd in attendance at the Charleston Civic Center Coliseum.

All three teams received loud cheers from their fans and fans of other teams. They thrilled the crowds with their cheers and stunts and received loud ovations during their fantastic performances.

We hope you all keep up the hard work and practice so you can make it back to state next year!

Way to go, Logan, Chapmanville and Burch! You made us all proud!
