CHARLESTON - The Logan High School girls' basketball team went to the big stage on Tuesday but it was the same result as the Lady Cats lost 64-47 to Braxton County in the Hoops Classic at the Charleston Civic Center.

The loss dropped Logan to 0-3 on the season and increased its losing skid dating back to last season to 12 games.

The Lady Cats haven't won a game since Jan. 25, 2008, when Logan won 54-52 at Man.

LHS was scheduled to host the same county rival Man team on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in front of the Logan High School student body.

In Tuesday's game at the Civic Center, Braxton County led 20-15 after one, 30-28 at the half and 44-35 after three. Logan was then outscored 20-12 in the fourth quarter to set the final score.

Erica Kelley led Logan with a 15-point effort.

Katie Chryssofos and Jessica Bias also broke into double figures in scoring with 11 and 10 points respectively. Rojet Lowe had eight and Emily Vinson three.

Tiffany Huffman had 21 points for Braxton County. Corri Phillips netted 12 and Macey Frame had 11.

After taking on Man today, the Lady Cats are scheduled to host Point Pleasant on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Logan's Willie Akers Arena. Logan is then off until early January.
