Verdunville Elementary held the annual Family Style Thanksgiving Dinner on November 19, 2008. The dinner was served by several parent volunteers who acted as celebrity waiters and waitresses for the children. Tables and the cafeteria were decorated with a Thanksgiving Theme including flowers and colorful placemats. All of our parent volunteers received certificates of appreciation from Barbara A. Porter, principal. The Verdunville Elementary cooks, Judy Conley and Ilean Meade, fixed traditional Thanksgiving food for the event preparing a delicious meal of turkey, dressing, and all the side dishes. The school would like to thank Judy and Ilean for making this day so special for the children and staff of Verdunville Elementary. Verdunville Elementary also thanks all of the wonderful parent volunteers for helping make the event a success.
