Holiday basketball tournament action at Chapmanville.
The Chapmanville Regional High School boys' basketball team will once again host the annual Bob Runyon Memorial Tournament this weekend at the CRHS gym.
The tournament is scheduled to begin tonight at 7 as Class A Man (1-1) takes on 3A Lincoln County. The host Chapmanville Tigers (0-2) then play Sherman in the 9 p.m. nightcap.
Tourney play concludes Saturday night with the consolation game at 7 p.m. and the championship game at 9.
In last year's Bob Runyon finals, Lincoln County walked away with the title after topping the Tigers, 73-55. Man beat Sherman 58-55 in last year's consolation game.
Two years ago, Gilbert was the tourney champ. The Tigers knocked off the Hillbillies 64-52 in the third-place game.
Gilbert also won the Bob Runyon tourney championship three seasons ago with a 63-53 victory over Chapmanville.
The Tigers last won the tourney title in the 2004-05 campaign after beating Harts 56-35 in the finals.
