The Chapmanville Regional High School golf team headed into the final week of the regular season on Monday with a trip to Sandy Brae Country Club to take on Herbert Hoover.

The Tigers came away with a 158-169 win over the Huskies, a Cardinal Conference team.

Chapmanville, already crowned as the league champions, were led by Kelli Garrett with a 36, followed by William Copley’s 40. J.T. Lester, Tyler Collins and Jacob Workman all shot 41 each.

“We are playing very lackluster golf right now,” Tigers’ coach Tommy Kirk said. “I should say some of us are in a very inconsistent state of mind. We are just not clicking on all cylinders right now.”

Next for the Tigers is a match Tuesday at the Logan Country Club against Tug Valley and Scott.
