METUCHEN, N.J. — Mrs. Fritz Bowe Ferguson, 94, of Metuchen, N.J., passed away peacefully at home Thursday, September 29, 2011, surrounded by her family.

Born January 1, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Virginia Jackson Bowe in Wayne County. Fritz was predeceased by her loving husband, Worth Ferguson, in 1996. They were married for 58 years and lived most of that time in Man. They were very active, long time members of Bruce McDonald Methodist Church of Man. Fritz was also a member of the Logan Chapter of the Eastern Star. She worked for many years in the company stores of local coal companies in Logan County.

Fritz was also predeceased by her brothers Ralph Bowe and Grover Bowe Jr. and her sisters, Augusta Bias and Billie Trautwein.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann (Mark) Behrens of Metuchen; a beloved granddaughter, Leann (Eric) Parker, and her cherished great grandson Devin, all of Columbus, Ohio; her in-laws, Buck and Ruth Ferguson of Wayne and Mary Ferguson of Milton, and several nieces and nephews.

Eastern Star services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 6, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Logan Chapter 60, Order of Eastern Star. Graveside services will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery of Wayne with Pastor Mike Dillon officiating.

Visitatin will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Fritz’s memory could be made to Caring Hospice, 1090 King George Post Road, Suite 703, Edison, New Jersey 08837 or to a charity of your choice.

Morris Funeral Home of Wayne is in charge of the arrangements.
