BEREA, Ky. — Lucille Leslie Hanners Lowe, 81, of Berea, Ky., passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011, in the Terrace Nursing and Rehab Facility in Berea.

Born February 25, 1930, in Pikeville, Ky. she was a daughter of the late Eldon Bradley and Wildia Elizabeth Maynard Hanners. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Otchie Lowe; one son, Richard “Rusty” Steven Lowe; two brothers, Bradley Hanners Jr. and Grover Hanners; three sisters, Georgia Robinson, Ethel Lowe and Norma Fields, and one special nephew, Woody Robinson.

Lucille was a nursing assistant, homemaker, mother and dear grandmother.

Survivors include two sons, Grover Coolidge (Debra) Lowe of Brushy Creek, Pikeville, and Timothy Mark (Linda) Lowe of Berea, Ky., three daughters, Dianah Lynn (Bill) Taylor of Berea, Ky., Doris Leigh (Don) Gartin of Chapmanville and Sandra Lowe (Scott) Peck of Lexington, Ky.; one brother, Les Hanners of Pikeville; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, at the Apple Orchard Old Regular Baptist Church at Brushy with Tommy Adair officiating. Burial will follow in the Apple Orchard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allen Hall, Travis Gartin, Jason Hall, Justin Lowe, Joshua Lowe, Bryan Lowe, Zack Lowe, Mark Lowe and Grover Lowe.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Fields, Billy Fields, Tristan Gartin, Cheyenne Lowe, Rebecca Watson, Jessica Watson, Ernetine Thompson and Geraldine Elkins.

Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. today at the church with evening services at 7 p.m. with Nick Riddle officiating.
