CRANCO, W.Va. — Rosa Cook, 65, of Cranco, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Sunday, November 27, 2011, from the home of her sister, Birdie Floyd at Delbarton.

Born February 15, 1946, at Lorado, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Alda and Dica Peters Osborne. Also preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Rev. J.J. Cook.

Rosa was a homemaker. A Christian, she enjoyed visiting various churches and regularly attended the Man Church of the Nazarene. Rosa loved the Lord and practiced her faith by helping others in need.

Those left to cherish her memory include four sisters, Bertha Brinegar and Shirley Parker, both of Lorado, Virgie Duncan of Man, and Birdie (Ted) Floyd of Delbarton; five brothers, Henry (Mary) Osborne and Arnold (Misty) Osborne, both of Davin, Billy (Darlene) Osborne of Kopperston, and Larry (Kay) Osborne and Donald (Jean) Osborne, both of Lorado; two step-children; one uncle; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, December 2, at the Man Church of the Nazarene at Man with Rev. Brian Pope, Rev. Ronald “Nig” Vance and Rev. David Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Brown’s Cemetery at Huff Creek.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6-10 p.m. Thursday one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
