WHITE OAK, W.Va. — Mr. Paul Adams, 62, of White Oak, was born October 13, 1949, at Harts, a son of the late Charles and Inis M. Doss Adams. He departed this life Sunday, January 29, 2012, at his residence.

Also preceding him in death were four brothers, Linvel, Leslie, Milton “Harry” (Ina) and Samuel (Cindy) Adams; sister, Eva Adams Bryant, and brother-in-law, Harold “Bud” Peery.

Mr. Adams was a retired coal miner having worked for Island Creek Coal Company, Chafin Coal Company, Amherst Coal Company No. 9 and Diamond Shamrock. He was a member of the White Oak Church of Christ, UMWA, and loved ginsenging, 4 wheeling, hunting and spending time with his grandkids. He was a loving husband, daddy and papaw.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Linda Hensley Adams; daughters, Teresa (Lucian) and Tara (Donald), both of Chapmanville; grandchildren, Breea, Olivia and Austin Miller, Victoria Phillips and Hillarie Dalton; sister, Laverna Peery of Santa Barbara, Calif.; in-laws, Pauline Peters, Lois Adams and James Bryant, and his best buddy, Donald Workman.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 2, at White Oak Church of Christ with Rev. Manasses Hensley Jr. and Rev. Daniel Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Adams Cemetery at White Oak.

Visitation will begin after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is serving the Adams family.
