Board employees are currently hard at work transferring the old Logan County BOE policies onto the templates provided by Neola. The company will then evaluate the county policy and update it to reflect the policies established by state and federal law.
It’s a daunting task, but the Logan County BOE is getting the job done.
We applaud the Logan County School Board for using the same services used by several other surrounding counties to update its policy manual.
Superintendent Wilma Zigmond and her staff work hard to make sure that the Logan County BOE’s policies match up with those of state and federal laws and they are working toward updating a very old policy manual to make sure everything is done right.
Yes, it’s taking some time to type all the information into the templates given to the BOE by Neola, but, we know the board is working diligently to make sure it follows all state and federal rules and the policy manual correctly reflects those changes.
Keep up the good work, Logan County Schools Superintendent Wilma Zigmond and the BOE in updating the policy manual. Like BOE Member Burgess said, it’s “a monster”.
