CHAPMANVILLE The Crossroads Community Church Ladies Aid met February 13 for their regular meeting.
Heather Thompson, president, called the meeting to order with a welcome to everyone. Prayer requests were taken, with a special prayer being said for Kathy Conley's 13-year-old granddaughter, Carley McGladdery. Carley underwent surgery on February 20 on her spinal cord.
The lesson was presented by Thompson on "Love of the Word," taken from Proverbs.
Business included the collection of dues, discussion of several upcoming fundraisers and the revival scheduled to begin on March 11 at 7 p.m. with J.R. Farm as guest speaker and special singing nightly.
Mavis Workman blessed the food prepared by hostesses Thompson and Bethany Artist. Rosie Artist won the door prize and Rosie Adams won the prize for the game.
Those attending included Heather, Alison and Megan Thompson, Ruby Stowers, Rosie and Leslie Adams, Kathy Conley, Rose, Bethany, Erica and Zachary Artist, Mavis Workman, Jayson Adams and Linda Toppins.
Hostesses for the March meeting will be Workman and Jayson Adams.
