ROSSMORE, W.Va. — Phyllis Sias, 81, of Rossmore, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 7, 2012.

Born February 10, 1931, at Micco, she was a daughter of the late Andy and Effie Ferrell Blankenship. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Sesco Sias; two sons, Gerry and Brent Sias; one grandson, Roger Duncan; one great-granddaughter, Macey Duncan, and two sisters, Adilee Gilco and Ruby Wingo.

Mrs. Sias was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, reading and doing crafts. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Zelma (Thomas) Duncan of Monaville; one son, Denny (Diane) Sias of Lima, Ohio; three sisters, Letha Mae of Rossmore, Sylvia of Arkansas and Rose of Weston; two brothers, Wendell and Kenny, both of Huntington; 17 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; one special granddaughter, Angel Duncan; special friends, Madeline Baisden and Wendy Perry and an additional host of family and friends.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Wiley officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Duncan, Thomas Duncan Jr., Timmy Duncan, Justin Duncan, Ernie Whitt and Damien Sias.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Gilco, Ronnie Maynard and Tracy McNeely.

The family would like to thank Dr. Patrick Stone at CAMC and Dr. Stollings and Dr. Harvey, along with the staff at Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville.
