HARTS, W.Va. — Hester Wiley, 95 of Harts, departed this life Friday, March 9,

2012 at her residence.

Born August 23, 1916, in Spurlocksville, she was a daughter of the late Hurston and Viola Lovejoy Nelson. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Roosevelt Wiley; one daughter, Linda Sue Wiley; one son, Earnest Wiley; two grandsons, Toney Wiley and Joseph Noll; one granddaughter, Tammy Thompson; one great-great granddaughter, Audrey Wiley; one daughter-in-law, Mary Wiley; two sons-in-law Edward Kinder and Clarence Dalton; three sisters, Elvie, Elsie and Bernice; three brothers, Otis, Lester and Hurston Jr; and her father and mother-in-law, John and Elizabeth Nelson Wiley.

Hester enjoyed gardening, quilting and loving all her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include four daughters, Bessie Irene Dalton of Columbus, Ohio, Della (James) Noll of Branchland, and Elsie (Herbert) Estep and Ona Mae (Arlie) Dalton, both of Harts; five sons, Franklin D. (Anna Mae) Wiley, Billy Wiley, James Odell Wiley and John (Violet) Wiley, all of Harts, and Jessie Eugene (Rosemary) Wiley of Montgomery; four sisters, Essie Adkins of Barboursville, Garnet Huff of New Jersey, Maggie Buff of Georgia and Eva Tomblinson of Virginia; one brother, Olan Nelson of Elmer, N.J.; 31 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great

grandchildren; many children that she thought of as grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A special thanks to Sally Rakes, Virginia McCoy and Rosa Estep.

Services will be held at 11 am, Monday, March 12, at Freeman Funeral Home with Christian Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at the Wiley/Dalton Cemetery at Shortbend of Harts.

Visitation will be from 6-10 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Randy Dalton, Troy Wiley, Charles Wiley, Danny Kinder, Kevin Wiley, Allen Noll and Darian Dalton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wiley and Toney Wiley.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
