Born July 16, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Landon and Jewell Booth Tomblin. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Kitty Workman; two brothers, Dewayne and Albert Tomblin; maternal grandparents, Delmar and Ethel Booth; paternal grandparents, Lacy and Augusta Tomblin; her beloved in-laws, Donald and Belvia Blankenship; one brother-in-law, Jamie Blankenship; one grandmother-in-law, Easter Day; Hobert Day, whom she considered her uncle, and one nephew, Billy Jo Webb.
Lisa lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her loving husband and family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 30 years, Donald Blankenship Jr.; two sons, Donald (Kim Miller) Blankenship III of Godby Branch and Gabriel (Brittney) Blankenship of Huntington; nine grandchildren, Kerri and Kaylee Blankenship of Godby Branch, and Joshua (whom she considered a son), Landon, Alyssa, Abby, Carly, Nevaeh and Lacy Blankenship, all of Huntington; three sisters, Brenda (Dallas) Hager of Omar, Ethel (Jimmy) White of Mud Fork, and Kimberly (David) Hutton of North Carolina; one brother, Landon Tomblin Jr. of Ohio; two aunts, Memory (Harold) Gartin and Anna Flemings, both of Chapmanville, four uncles, Ernest Booth of Chapmanville, Jake (Julia) Booth of Omar, Howard (Flora) Booth of Ohio and Jess Booth of Holden. Also the ones whom she considered her aunts and uncles, Billy Ray George, Donetta (Roosevelt) Allen and Linda (Leslie) Evans, all of Logan, Betty Jo (Bill) Carter of Mill Creek, and Clyde (Kaye) Akers of Holden; three brothers-in-law, Dennis (Lynn) Blankenship and Lester Workman, both of Mill Creek, and Dale Blankenship of Omar; one sister-in-law, Joann (Eli) Webb; one very special friend, whom she considered family, Ransom Conley of Godby Branch, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Kim Miller, Lester Workman, Eli Estepp and Ransom Conley, along with her doctors and the nurses on the 5th floor at Logan Regional Medical Center for all they have done for Lisa in her time of need.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 23, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Meadows Jr. and Rev. Donnie Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Tomblin, Gregory Workman, Ransom Conley, Gabriel Blankenship, Jay Stewart, Lester Workman, Ronnie Hepler and Scottie White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Blankenship, Donald Hager, Eli Estepp, Joshua Allen, Clyde Akers, Billy Ray George, Dennis Blankenship and Ernest, Jake, Howard and Jess Booth.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to Collins Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
