Born October 24, 1914, in Henlawson, she was a daughter of the late William Cohen and Anna Louise Lyons Henry. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Woodrow White; three brothers, Kline, John and Lyle Henry; two sisters, Gail White and Dolores Stowers; one son-in-law, Scottie White; one granddaughter, Monica White, and one great-grandchild, Kassie Bias.
Adele was an avid member of the Toney Christian Fellowship Church and was a great Christian mentor of many. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, cooking, sewing and gardening.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Carol Ann (Emory) Bias and Sandra Lynn White; six grandchildren, Sherry Conley, Chuck (Leah) Bias, Julie (Bill) Dees, Carla (David) Price, Sonya (David) Murray and Scottie Jr. (Brandie) White; 10 great-grandchildren, Michael (Lee Ann) Bias, Jennifer (Ryan) Craddock, Bridgette Conley, Johnna Conley, Aaron Bias, Brandon Bias, Amelia Dees, Tori Murray, Ryan
White and Alexis White; three step great-grandchildren, Nick Fowler, Taylor Fowler and Robbie Baldwin; five great-great grandchildren, Shawn, Kendall and Cohen Craddock, Adele Javins, and Kassidy Bias, and honorary grandchildren, Doug and Tressia Allen.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 23, at Freeman Funeral Home with Donnie Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bias, Bill Dees, David Murray, Scottie White Jr., Chuck Bias and Brandon Bias.
