The Chapmanville Regional High School tennis teams continue to roll.
The CRHS boys and girls teams won their third straight match and seventh overall in their last eight as both squads beat Sissonville in a key regional match on Thursday at home.
Both Chapmanville teams swept to 7-0 wins over the Indians. The CRHS girls improved to 7-2 on the season with the win.
In the girls’ match, Lady Tigers’ No. 1 singles player Emily Stroud won 8-2. Allie Carter (8-2), Kylie Clay (8-2) and Natasha Williams (8-0) also won in singles matches.
Carter and Clay won 8-3 in the No. 1 doubles match. Stroud and Haley Justice won 8-6, while Williams and Sravya Pidaparthi prevailed 8-0.
On the boys’ side, Chapmanville No. 1 Seth Deskins was an 8-2 winner in the No. 1 singles. Eli DesRocher (8-2), Kishan Patel (8-0) and Max Spradlin (8-0) also took wins.
In the doubles, Deskins and Patel won 8-2. DesRocher and Lowell Midkiff (8-0) and Spradlin and Lonnie Lucas (8-0) also took wins and didn’t allow a single point.
The Chapmanville tennis team has another tough regional test on Friday with a match at Huntington St. Joe. The first serve is set for 4:30 p.m.
