PECKS MILL, W.Va. — Lois C. Henry, 89, of Pecks Mill, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

She was the daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Childers of Pecks Mill. Also preceding her in death was her husband, James D. Henry; brothers, Walter, Kennie and Harlan Childers, and sister, Betty Childers.

Lois was a graduate of Logan high School and later went to business school in Logan. She helped the love of her life, her late husband, James D. Henry, build a successful refrigeration business while also raising a family that she dearly loved. She loved her Lord and was a faithful member of Justice Christian Church for over 50 years where she taught Sunday School and served the Lord in many ways in the church and in her daily life. She was also a lifetime member of the Logan Chapter of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, Jim (Meme) Henry of Henlawson; sisters, Genoa Evans of Pecks Mill and Michelle (Roger) Ellis of Delbarton; grandson, Jamie (Laura) Henry of Delbarton; granddaughter, Andrea Johnson of Lexington, Ky.; four great-grandchildren, Ashleigh (Brandon) Perkins, Dustin Henry and Ryker and Ryder Henry; great-great-grandson, Braydon Perkins; niece, Regina (Terry) Bias, and great-nephew, Andrew Bias.

Graveside services will be held noon Wednesday, April 25, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Bill McDonald officiating.

As per her request there will be no visitation.

James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.
