Logan County parents who are home schooling their children (grades 3-11) and have registered their child prior to Jan 5, 2012, to participate in the West Virginia State Assessment, WESTEST 2, must contact the principal (grades 3-4) , or the counselor (grades 5-11) of the school where your child will be testing, one week prior to the WESTEST 2 testing window, May 14-25, 2012, to let them know your child will be coming to their school to test.

Parents who have registered prior to January 5, 2012, received a letter from Harless Cook, Director of Guidance and Testing for Logan County Schools, confirming their registration. Home Schooled students who did not register prior to the deadline of January 5, 2012 will not be able to take WESTEST 2.

Those Home Schooled students who registered and did not take the Online Writing Assessment in March may still take the WESTEST 2 but will not receive a complete Reading/Language Arts score for WESTEST 2.

For more information about Home Schooling and WESTEST 2, contact Harless Cook, Director of Guidance and Testing at 304 792-2080.
