The Logan High School softball team gained a measure of revenge with Saturday’s 3-1 win at Sherman in the regular season finale.

Logan, which closed out at 21-4, had lost 8-2 to Sherman early in the season at home.

This time it was all Lady Cats as senior catcher Katie Chryssofos hit a pair of home runs and drove in all three as Logan won over the Tide at Seth.

Jordan Lewis went 2-for-3 for Sherman (18-10).

Morgan Aguirre was the starting and winning pitcher for Logan, which outhit the Tide 7-5.

Sherman led 1-0 after five innings before Logan tied it 1-1 in the sixth. The Cats then added two more in the seventh, thanks to a two-run homer by Chryssofos.

Logan is scheduled to return to action with Tuesday’s Class AAA Region 3 Section 3 tournament at South Charleston High School. Host SC takes on George Washington at 5 p.m. in the opener. Logan then plays the loser at 7 p.m. in the double elimination tourney.

The sectional tourney then continues on Wednesday with the finals.
