TONYA SPARKS
CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Tonya Michelle Sparks, 36, of Chapmanville, departed this life Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on April 21, 2012.
Born August 12, 1975, in Logan, she was a daughter of Jerry and Rhoda Miller Sparks of Chapmanville.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Willard Sparks, Betty Johnson Sparks Sabo Richmond and Fred Miller; her step-grandfathers, Steve Sabo and Marvin Richmond; uncle, Roy Miller, and aunt, Wanda Miller Wiley.
Tonya attended Chapmanville area schools and Mountaineer Beauty College. She enjoyed being a mother, styling hair, crocheting, writing and facebooking.
Additionally, those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Makayla Sparks of Chapmanville; fiancé, Bryan Richards of Chapmanville; one brother, Jerry Scott “Scotty” Sparks of Chapmanville; grandmother, Gladys Miller of Godby Branch; special uncle, Dean (Martha) Sparks of Garrett Fork; special cousins, Jessica Sparks (Brian McKinney) of Garrett Fork and Jonathan (Christina) Sparks of Nitro; special second cousin, Olivia Rose McKinney of Garrett Fork; numerous additional aunts and cousins; Hannah Hall of Harts, who was like a daughter; close family friends, Mary and Billy Cox and Clifton “Trouble” Richards, all of Chapmanville, and a host of additional family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 7, at Freeman Funeral Home with her uncle, Rev. Dean Sparks, officiating.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freeman Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
