CHAPMANVILLE — Woodland Press, an independent book publishing firm located in Logan County, has been notified by Hatfield and McCoy documentary director Mark Cowen that the History Channel has chosen the premiere date of their two-hour documentary. It will air on Saturday, June 2nd, at 4 pm ET. This is the project that includes the involvement and interviews of several Mountain State residents/natives, including Raamie Barker, Dean H. King, Anne Black Gray and Keith Davis.
The two-hour film will also feature historical material, feud-related photographs, and Hatfield documents from Woodland Press, which were used for background materials and research for the project.
The Kevin Costner mini-series, The Hatfields and McCoys, will still debut at 9 p.m. ET Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.
“As far as the documentary is concerned, we were told the History Channel’s scheduling saw it as a perfect lead-in to a marathon repeat of the six-hour Kevin Costner feud drama,” said Keith Davis of Woodland Press.
The mini-series is scheduled for repeat airings on the History Channel at 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 2.
