Obama’s decision

Dear Editor,

Pres. Obama’s recent opinion that marriage can be between same sexes prodded me to comment on the subject. Everyone has an opinion, but God defined marriage in The Garden. (By the way, this won’t interest to non-believers of God. Nor are these my opinion.) God said, ‘I change not’. His Word is infallible.)

Soon after I heard Obama’s decision, my thoughts went to the Book of Romans which, to me, ends the debate of whether humans are born `that way’ or not. In chapter one, the apostle Paul writes to the people in Rome hundred’s of years ago; so, apparently homosexuality isn’t new.

I found seven reasons for this disregard of God’s advice:

(1.) God is not glorified as God. (still isn’t).

(2.) People aren’t thankful. (still aren’t).

(3.) Futile thinking (still with us.)

(4.) Hearts have become darkened. (and getting darker.)

(5.) We claim to be wise but have become fools. (amen!)

(6.) The glory of God has been exchanged for mere images.

(7.) People exchanged the truth of God for lies by worshiping and serving ‘created’ things (sports, entertainment, material items, politics, religions, beauty, money, power, drugs, alcohol, etc.) — rather than their Creator.

The preceding reasons are why God has given individuals up to their own vileness of their hearts’ lust. God ‘gave them up’ after they rejected Him, to the shameful misuse of each other’s bodies, degrading passions — women exchanging natural sexual relations for unnatural; and likewise men giving up natural relations with women, burning with passion for one another. Men commit shameful acts with other men…

Since they consider God not worth knowing; God allows them to follow worthless thinking… They know well enough God’s righteous decree that people who do such things deserve ( this won’t be politically correct, but God-correct) to die (again, not my words). They not only keep doing them, but they applaud others who do them. (Watch Hollywood applaud Obama and vice versa. I am not racist, anti-Democrat; but I am Pro-God!)

Homosexuality is no worse than adultery, maybe more perverted, and God knows adultery is rampant in America. One of mankind’s first wrongs was spiritual adultery; it is far more concerning than carnal adultery. All sins followed that rejection of God. (Are we allowed to call a wrong a ‘sin’? Or is that too harsh? It seems everything wrong is an addiction, a syndrome, a disease these days.) God’s Laws were to keep us from harming our own selves and others, not to curtail what we call ‘fun’. Homosexuality, adultery, fornication (‘shacking up’ or co-habiting) are sins against our own bodies and the bodies of others. How many individuals and families have been destroyed by these sexual sins?

It doesn’t matter what Obama, Romney, Bush says about this matter, they do not have the final answer; God does! There is a higher power than them. Those people in power can ‘work’ only as God allows them to in order to work out His plan for us.

Pandora’s Box was opened years ago; now it’s open wider than ever. What’s next? Marriage to a child, a horse? Beastiality isn’t new either. Our country grows more depraved every day and we are reaping the seeds we’ve sown. God is longsuffering, but there will come a time when He has had enough of people’s wickedness. I do not want to be here when that occurs, but I may be.

Meanwhile, pray, get into God’s Word, read and study it; obey it. Watch how this all plays out. We want God’s blessings but not His directions.

Sincerely,

Sharon L. Hill

Chapmanville

The NAACP has sold it's collective soul.

Also, they should more properly be called the

This is what the Hill Blog had to say about the NAACP stand on gay marriage:

“Civil marriage is a civil right and a matter of civil law. The NAACP’s support for marriage equality is deeply rooted in the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution and equal protection of all people,” added the civil-rights group's President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous.

OK…Just like this lady said: what if people want to marry a goat? What about plural marriage: suppose I want a harem? Will the NAACP support that? Seems to me the NAACP has sold its soul to the devil. A perversion is not protected under the 14th Amendment. Marriage is between a man and a woman and all other machinations of the law is a perversion of the original intent given to us by God in the Holy Bible. We are just one or two steps becoming every bit as bad as Sodom and Gomorrah. Actually, I think we went past that point several years ago. People are calling bad good and good bad!

The president's stand is repulsive! Black pastors are NOT for this; the NAACP has sold its soul to the Democrat Party (which seems to be the party of sinners).
