WHITMAN, W.Va. — Herbert L. Hall, 77, of Whitman, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.
Born July 10, 1934, at Myrtle, he was a son of the late Albert and Lou Emma Mullins Hall. Also preceding him in death were his sisters, Carol Parsley and Dorothy Hall; brothers, Orville Hall Sr., Leonard “Blackie” Hall and Ralph Hall, and one grandson, Joshua Ray Adkins.
Mr. Hall was a loving person to be around with a great since of humor.
Survivors include his loving wife, Deloris June Criswell Hall; three daughters, Sheila (Mack) Morris of Johnson City, Tenn., Amber “Petey” Moore of Whitman, Rosa “Bootsy” Patrick (John Ellison) of Stollings; three grandchildren, John Adkins of Pecks Mill, Timothy Patrick of Stollings and Christopher Gore-Moore of Whitman; one great-granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Adkins of Whitman; two sisters, Clifforine Deskins and Linda (Larry) Bowen, both of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews, including one special nephew, Orville (Sue) Hall Jr. of Whitman; special neighbor and friend, Janet Mayhorn, and special pet, Sadie.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at 20 Whitman Community Church with Pastor Joaquine Ooten officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to thank Drs. Sathish and Radha, Dr. Mallah, Logan Regional Medical Staff and St. Mary’s Medical Center ICU Staff for their care and compassion. The family also thanks everyone for their prayers at this time.
