FRANCES AUSTIN
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Frances L. Austin, 86, of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, at home.
Born in Logan, she moved to St. Petersburg in 1984. She was a graduate of Logan High School and a member of Nighbert Memorial United Methodist Church, Logan Country Club and the WVU Mountaineer Club
Preceding her in death was her husband, Carl Austin, and her brother Edwin Browning. Survivors include her son, Carl “Skip” Austin and his wife Lynn; daughter, Terri Austin Reid and her husband Garry; grandchildren Jeff Austin and wife Jen, Jay Austin and his wife Katie, Ashleigh Austin Shufford and her husband Daniel and Erika Whitman; great-grandchildren are Maxwell, Miles, Evan, Logan, Lilliana, Leilani and Phoenix, and her cat Cisco.
A celebration of her life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Logan, where a service will begin at 2 p.m. with Father George Kostas officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to your local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
