CEREDO, W.Va. — Gloria Jean Stewart Perry, 80, of Ceredo, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012, at her daughter’s residence.
Born July 9, 1931, in Webbville, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Fred “Mac” McHenry and Candice May Chaffin Stewart. Also preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Denver Perry, and two sisters, Vervia Sowers and Merlia McDavid.
Survivors include one daughter, Trina Lynn (Gregory) Adkins of Ceredo; one granddaughter, Brooklyn Adkins, and one grandson, Bryson Adkins, both of Ceredo.; one sister, Totsy (Dale) Harwood; three brothers, J.D. (Christine) Stewart, Alden (Pat) Stewart and Maxwell Ray “Macky” Stewart, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be conducted at noon Thursday, June 14, at the Kenova Church of God, of which she was a member, with Pastor J. Rabun Haddock officiating. Graveside committal services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. following the service. Interment will follow in Frye Cemetery at Verdunville.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
