CHAPMANVILLE — The Chapmanville Police Department says they will strictly enforce a new traffic violations at the new crosswalk above the Chapmanville Towers at the Exit Ramp B coming off of Rt.119 Northbound from Logan.
Motorists who are exiting the ramp are now prohibited from turning right on a red light.
The newly installed crosswalk, which took more than a year to be approved, will allow people of the town to safely cross Rt.10, especially the elderly and handicapped. There has been one fatality and several pedestrians hit trying to cross the roadway at this particular location in the past.
The department also announced that later in the year another crosswalk will be installed across from Speedway.
