CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Paul Christian, 75, of Chapmanville, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at his residence.

Born October 17, 1936, at Kitchen, he was a son of the late William and Hulda Mayhorn Christian. Also preceding him in death was an infant sister Alice Faye Christian.

Mr. Christian was retired from the Department of Highway Safety Division and attended the Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and a member of the Chapmanville Town Council.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 44 years, Sadie Ann Christian; one daughter, Rhonda Christian Kinder, and one son, Mike Christian, both of Chapmanville; two grandchildren, Christopher and Tiffany Kinder and one great-granddaughter, Piper Amelia Thompson, all of Chapmanville; two sisters, Lois Christian Brady of Charleston, S.C., and Ruth Christian Watts of Big Creek; four brothers, Franklin (Maryann) Christian, Harold “Peewee (Kitty) Christian, and William (Sharon) Christian, all of Chapmanville, and Ralph (Jeanie) Christian of Man, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Rev. Henry Damron officiating.

Visitation will begin hour prior to service Saturday at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is assisting the Christian family.
