SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Daisy Virginia Workman, 85, of South Charleston, formerly of Verdunville, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012, after a short illness at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston.
Born January 17, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Amanda Frye Porter. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Virgil Workman; daughter, Sandra Workman and son, Virgil Dale Workman.
Daisy was a homemaker and a member of the No. 18 Mud Fork United Baptist Church at Mud Fork.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Workman of South Charleston and Samuel D. (Frances) Workman of Charlottesville, Va.; daughter, Connie (Joe) Bowery of South Charleston; seven grandchildren, Anson Workman, Patrick Workman, Sam Workman, Miranda Siers, Mara Zornes, Matt Bowery and Joey Bowery, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at No. 18 Mud Fork United Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Frye Cemetery at Mud Fork.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan.
